About us...

An association of like minded people was formed in January 2002 by a small group of committed cat lovers. This resulted in a proper registered Charity  in March 2003. Montgomeryshire Cat Rescue was born. The group has developed and evolved over the years into an experienced and skilled compassionate group of volunteers. The more we see the more we realise we have only scratched the surface.

We are dependent on donations and grant applications which enable us to continue our work. The support of the public never fails to amaze us. From generous cash donations to moral and physical support, through to skills of fabrication to inspired ideas. This web site being an important window to the world.

If you have a loving and safe home to offer one of our Cats or Kittens please click here. Else please consider a donation to help continue our work on behalf of homeless Cats & Kittens.

Letter from Paul..

After no enquiries throughout the winter all hell let loose during late April and May, we took in 3 pregnant females and produced 13 kittens between them!

The last two kittens will be going to their new home in this week, Lotty and her 7 day old kitten are just waiting for the opportunitry to relocate to Karen in Newton.

Breaking news... Open Day 7th of August 2010 open at Monty's Moggies

Last year we dipped our toes into our first open day in Cefn Coch.

We invited from our contacts list and planned for the worst; no visitors.

What actually happened was an early start, late finish and a general continuation on Sunday for those people who couldn't make it on the Saturday.

The plan to spend time catching up with the activites of owners & cats alike was washed aside by the interest shown from new & old friends. We even rehomed cats & kittens.

Our aim is to show people how we use their valued donations, show off our facilities and give our cats a chance to meet prospective slaves. As a small charity, run from home, we manage to find new pads for about 130 cats & kittens each year.

As we get closer to August we will confirm cat & kitten availability, come and have a cup of tea & cake and meet the cats.
