Cats and Kittens for February 2010

item11

This neutered black & white postman pat cat has travelled a long way to be with us.

His owner died and the family brought him back from Suffolk. He got on with the family pet dogs but the sheep dogs were different.

He relocated here for re-homing. We think about 2½ years old, a bit on the shy side but time will tell. Big changes in his world just recently.

This enormous female was found in Kerry. Between 2 and 3 years old, completely black. Very friendly and vocal.

This is a very in your face cat. When we have visitors she is fine with the attention. Have a look at anybody else and the arms come out from the cage to drag you back.

When she has you she’ll talk the legs off a donkey. Since she has been able to go where she pleases it turns out she is a big wuss. All front and no substance, just wants to be cuddled.

The first of our tabby offerings. This is Tigger who came to us from Welshpool town.

He is an eight year old tabby tom whose mom died before Christmas. A user of a cat flap he has been free to come & go as he pleased.

A very friendly cat and enjoys to purr and treddle.

Lady is a 2 year old neutered female.

When dogs arrived in the household she decamped to the neighbours at the bottom of the garden and never went back. She loves comfort and is attentive when she knows who you are.

She has been with us for some time due to the vanishing acts performed whan somebody shows any vague interest. Later on she turns up at the patio door for tea. A petite black cat with a pretty face. Yes our bed.

Our second tabby offering is Desdemona who is 10 years old. A split in relationships meant that she had nowhere to go.

She is unassuming and has lived the life as an indoor cat. Here pictured in her igloo. She’ll venture out to tell you its meal time and purr so hard you think she’ll burst .

Other times you get the not amused look!

Ifor is a two year old ish neutered tocat. He came to us in a bit of a state but has made good progress.

It looks asthough his tail was caught in a snare. Now with a 50 mm bob that rotates like a beacon, he likes to follow you around the garden.

Will do anything for food and doesn’t stray very far from his cat shed accommodation.

This is a stay cat we have taken in in the last few weeks.

The common theme is good condition, hungry but not neutered. He has an appointment for his snip. He came to us from around the Derwen Nursery outside Welshpool.

Probably about 2 years old he is very interested in what is going on around him.
